About

I run a gallery and cafe named “ Nikendo” in Kawagoe, Japan. For your information, Kawagoe is famous for preserving classic architectures and it’s one of the most popular place to visit in Japan.
You don’t see people walking with sandals because there is no access to ocean here.
You don’t have much snow either so that we don’t have to be bothered by snow removing. This is the city I send information of ours to the world.

Gallery&Café 二軒堂

工藤 芳聖 / Yoshihiko Kudo

Born in 1959 in Kyushu, almost southwest island in Japan.
As growing up, learning to make, to paint, and singing with guitar, I end up being a carpenter by profession. And time goes by, I finally start running this place, “Nikendo.”
It’s not on a Main Street but I put everything I leaned into this small gallery in a secluded back alley.
Come and visit when you have a chance. It’s worth it.
